I’m working on several projects right now. It’s not commonly suggested, but that’s what I’m doing.
First is my military sci-fi. This is the first in a planned six-book alien invasion series combining elements of space naval and space marine combat. It sits at just over 100,000 words right now with a few thousand more to go.
Then there’s my near future social commentary thriller code named ‘Net Failure’. It tells the story of a society forced to face difficult individual and social truths. This is a mostly complete story but it is sitting at a low word count of 65,000 words. This one has a lot of potential but needs some fleshing out.
I also have two fun side projects I use to keep myself writing whenever the words aren’t flowing as well on one of the main projects.
“Holy Warrior” will be an urban fantasy about a Christian warrior. Through an unusual and rather accidental series of events, a young man is given the power to see beyond the veil into the spiritual realm. He meets Jesus, works for YHWH, and fights demons using both spiritual and physical means. My hope is to turn this into a series.
“Memory Parlour” is a future story about a memory wiping service. Told in a series of connected short stories, it gives an account of the pitfalls and pleasantries of utilizing the service.
